Our Story
We been collecting children's literature since the mid-1980s, never dreaming that one day, these beloved books would become the starting point for The Little Library That Could when it opened in 2021 as a private reading room.
In 2025, The Little Library That Could joined forces with OSEYAD. Thanks to the support of OSEYAD, The Little Library That Could has even more resources and can now serve even more families in Istanbul!
Our Collection
We want to connect children living in Istanbul with a diverse collection of literature. Our broad collection of books will bring the joy of reading to readers of all ages... we can't wait to share these books with your family!
Each title in our collection has been selected with special care, and with the intention to provide children with the joy that comes with discovering a kindred spirit between the pages of a book.
Our Languages
Our collection is primarily in English and Türkçe, with additional books available in: Deutsch · Español · فارسی · Français · Italiano · Nederlands · Русский
We believe children should have access to books in the languages they speak, hear at home, and are learning. Books in different languages strengthen language skills and cultural connections while opening doors to new perspectives, experiences, and communities.
