Policy for children.
• Primary Focus: Service to children is our primary goal at OSEYAD (Okumayı Sevdirme ve Yaygınlaştırma Derneği) and our reading room and book club program, The Little Library That Could. Children of all ages are encouraged to use our materials, programs, and services. We are open to everyone, regardless of origin, age, or background.
• Priority Bookings: Priority is given to children, their parents or caregivers, and adults interested in children's literature.
• Accompaniment Requirement: All patrons under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult caregiver at all times. Unaccompanied minors will not be admitted; association staff will attempt to contact their parent or caregiver.
• Parental Responsibility: Parents or responsible adult caregivers are responsible for the safety and behavior of their children during visits. Association staff are not responsible for unattended children.
• Unaccompanied Adults: Adults without children may be questioned and asked to leave to ensure children's safety.
• Emergency Contact: Adult caregivers must have emergency contact information available.
• Conduct Policy: All visitors must adhere to our conduct policy; violations may result in loss of privileges.
• Final Responsibility: Parents and adult caregivers, not association staff nor OSEYAD itself, are responsible for children's behavior and safety.
